Blast From The Past: Rev2's look at the emergence of live streaming on social media


The ability to live stream is evident on almost every social media site, but this hasn't always been the case.  In fact, as recently as 2 years ago, social media sites were posturing to provide users with the ability to post live events directly from their smartphones.
The Rev2 article "Periscope attracts 10 million users in its first few months", written two years ago, discusses the new Twitter feature and how others such as Facebook are looking to launch live capabilities of their own.

  1. It is amazing how social media has developed so quickly. And rapidly it will change they way of sharing stuff. For some companies, social media has been ban since there is to many of the way they do business that is been expose to it adversaries. For example, I a military member and there had been many cases of personnel getting in serious trouble due to the information they share on the site. Thank you for sharing the information.
